![]() ![]() I'm purchasing the key close to the end of the month figuring they will iron more bugs out before then. In true FarSight fashion, there are still a lot of bugs to work out. A few people run in 3 monitor mode and hide the PBA DMD and use DMDext. NO support for a real DMD but Freezy's DMDext runs fine with the cabinet exe. There is support for either 2 or 3 monitor mode. If running off Steam, the Arcooda Key costs ~$149.00. They will not be on sale or be discounted before then. To get all 76 tables you must own PBA Seasons 1 - 6 or buy the tables individually. Someone may hack that or already has for PBA? You can still have all the toys for VP.ħ6 PBA tables are available in Arcooda cabinet mode. It is not designed to integrate with VP or DOF. do I get the arcooda machine & risk VP tables not being as well supported? I'm hoping there would be a way to set things up to where VP could have DOF working, but don't know for sure I'm only just now diving into all this cabinet stuff & its making my head spin haha.Īny Acooda hardware is designed strictly for their machines. Apparently you only get these things in the software if you own their cabinet. Variable tilt/plunger, flashers, Kinect 3d, etc. Many their variable tilt solution will fix this? idk.Īlso, if I build my own machine, it sounds like TPA will still have cabinet support but I may not get all the extra features. I'm a fan of TPA despite its shortcomings, but I've found the tables often too easy. Will their stuff integrate with VP & DOF? The arcooda guys says yes, but in a different way. It has stuff like variable tilt & nudging, flashers & such. Their hardware looks awesome, & the PF monitor will even be 4k. Anyway, I will not be making any in-app table purchases until I see the severe flipper lag-time issue corrected.I need some insight on some of this as I'm just planning to build a cab, then I see this arcooda thing which raises questions. So it's anyone's guess whether or not the publishers are working on this. Also, it does not appear that their website offers any type of support other then email. Hopefully the publishers are working on a fix for those of us that have purchased this game. $10 is a good chunk of change, relatively speaking, for this type of game yet it fails to ge the job done. Reading these reviews it is obvious this isn't something isolated to just my PC it is a problem inherit within the game design! All of the work that has gone into production of this game and because of flipper lag time the game, while I won't call it a flop, it's playability is definitely diminished. This isn't possible because the only interactive component of the game, the flippers, suffer from terrible lag time. HOWEVER, it's this simple: No matter how many hundreds of hours have been spent creaing the artwork and tweaking the physics engine to it's best possible, the game must provide as a realistic gaming experience as possible. I'm not sure why they chose the tables they did but most are entertaining. The tables are beautifully rendered and the board phsyics are very good. Avoid this app at all costs.Ĭonsidering how slim the Pinball genre is on the OS X platform I have to commend the publishers for creating Arcade Pinball. These clowns are absolute ripoff artists. HOWEVER, be WARNED THAT THEY WILL FORCE THROUGH A HUGE NUMBER OF HOOPS AND LIE TO YOU CONTINUALLY IN HOPES THAT YOU WILL GIVE UP. The ONLY WAY to contact them is via facebook messenger. It’s not an actual phone support line as of course, they can’t be bothered to actually talk to you, their paying customer.Īlso, they DO NOT reply to email support. I have tried calling Pinball Arcade phone support on multiple days, but they NEVER pick up. Mysteriously, several more disappeared a couple of days later. Once I re-installed the app, multiple paid tables have disappeared. Once I successfully updated, I had to reinstall some apps, including pinball arcade. I recently updated my IOS but unfortunately my ipad froze upon rebooting. Multiples of the tables froze upon launching, including Bride of Pinbot and White Water. I counted myself fortunate until I downloaded the games. I purchased dozens of tables prior to the de-licensing of Williams and Bally tables in 2018. ![]()
